Ruolan investigates the relationship between emotional content and spatial details in episodic memory, contributing to understanding how emotions influence the encoding of neutral contextual information, such as perspective. She also utilised the Gorilla webcam eye-tracking and the EyeLink eye-tracker to record eye movements and investigate potential gaze reinstatement during encoding and retrieval.
